Limerick tennis legend Conor Niland says it’s going to be an honour to captain Ireland’s Davis Cup team in his home county.
The former professional has selected his team for the two-day event which will take place in the UL Sports Arena this Saturday and Sunday.
Ireland face off against an Austrian side that features former US Open Champion Dominic Thiem.
Niland says having the the Davis Cup back in Limerick is special.
“To have it in my home town in one of the biggest Davis Cup ties we’ve ever had, certainly in the last 20 or 30 years and to have it in Limerick is very special and I’m just so pleased that it’s sold out.”
