TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The Maclay Marauders whirlwind trip to Dublin, Ireland winds down with a win, as the team easily defeated Windham (New Hampshire) in the 2024 Global Ireland Football Tournament, 35 to 23.
The overseas victory was made a little bit sweeter as Maclay School got the chance to be among more than two dozen teams brought to the Emerald Isle as part of the Aer Lingus Football Classic.
The student athletes have made memories on and off the field, and clearly had taken in some of the culture by Friday morning. WCTV’s Alison Posey captured one player, Blake Brannen, breaking out an Irish jig after completing a touchdown.
Alison will have much more coming up on Eyewitness News at 5 and of course on Football Friday Night. For now, you can follow her along on X as she shares more sights and sounds from Ireland.
