The 15-man squad will be led by Craig Ervine, who was among the senior players not considered for selection for the T20Is against India
Zimbabwe have announced their 15-man squad for the one-off Test against Ireland later this month, and the squad includes four uncapped players.
The four players who have been handed their maiden call-ups are Clive Madande, Brian Bennett, Joylord Gumbie and Johnathan Campbell. Three of the four, minus Gumbie, are all part of the squad in the ongoing five-match T20I series against India.
The 15-man squad will be led by Craig Ervine, who was among the senior players not considered for selection for the T20Is against India despite being available for selection.
Apart from Ervine, the squad features four other experienced names in Sean Williams, Tendai Chatara, Blessing Muzarabani and Richard Ngarava.
The one-off Test, which will be played from July 25 in Belfast, will be Zimbabwe’s first Test action since their two-match series at home to the West Indies in February last year.
Zimbabwe lost that series 1-0 after suffering an innings defeat in the second Test in Bulawayo.
Both Zimbabwe and Ireland are not part of the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC) cycle.
