A man in his 30s has died following a fatal collision between a car and a truck in Dublin this morning.
Gardaí and emergency services are attending the scene of a fatal road traffic collision between Junction 4 and Junction 5 on the N7 westbound, in Dublin.
The collision occurred at approximately 9am this morning and involved a car and a truck, gardaí said.
“A passenger in the car, a man aged in his 30s, has been pronounced deceased at the scene,” a garda spokesperson said.
The driver of the car has also been treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The stretch of road is currently closed pending the completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time of the incident, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
