IRELAND captain Katie McCabe has been snapped in a picture wearing the Australian jersey.
The Arsenal star earlier this week confirmed her romance with club teammate Caitlin Foord.
And the jersey is presumably the Matilda ace’s shirt from the World Cup last summer.
Ireland played the co-hosts in the opening game of last year’s World Cup in July 2023.
The Girls in Green lost the clash 1-0 in front of a sold-out crowd in Sydney.
Her relationship with Foord was already all but confirmed based off previous social media hints they’d shared.
Earlier in the week, the 28-year-old shared a snap of her kissing Foord on the cheek, captioning it ‘Let’s go my aussie girl’.
McCabe’s previous Instagram post was very noteworthy too as she wound up partying with some of England’s biggest stars in Ibiza.
And now she’s been pictured in the jersey that was presumably swapped with her partner after the defeat in Sydney.
A post appeared on X showed the Kilnamanagh native all smiles in the yellow shirt.
McCabe starred for her country in Ireland’s final Euro 2025 qualifier – against France at Pairc Ui Chaoimh.
And it made for a historic return, as the Girls in Green ran out 3-1 winners thanks to goals from hometown hero Denise O’Sullivan, Julie-Ann Russell, and Anna Patten.
Patten, who qualified to play for Ireland through her maternal grandparents who are from Donegal, dedicated her goal to her late grandfather.
Ireland’s win sealed a seeded spot for October’s play-offs, in which they will play Georgia with the winner facing Wales.
