The event aims to raise much-needed funds to support the ISPCA’s mission of rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming Ireland’s most vulnerable animals.

The ISPCA has decided to host a golf event to engage the community in its mission, raise vital funds and also increase awareness about responsible pet ownership.

The charity is thrilled to team up with TV and radio presenter – and dog lover – Lorraine Keane on this event.

“This is a wonderful initiative and a great way to raise awareness about responsible pet ownership, while enjoying a lovely day out to network and have fun on the golf course at the same time,” Lorraine said.

“As a dog mom myself, I’m delighted to support such a great cause that’s so close to my heart. I urge golf enthusiasts to rally together to support the ISPCA, so they can continue to rescue Ireland’s most vulnerable animals, provide a safe haven for them until they get a second chance of a good life in a loving forever home.”

The format of the golf classic is a 10-minute interval tee-off, ensuring that golfers of all skill levels can join in the fun. In addition to the golf, there will be a host of other activities, including refreshments, a raffle and an awards ceremony.

Businesses can avail of the special Team and Hole Sponsorship Deal which, for a contribution of €650, will see them sponsor a team and a hole, receiving a €100 discount as an incentive.

The funds raised from this event will go directly towards the ISPCA’s life-saving work, to rescue even more animals from dire situations, providing veterinary care, and offering shelter and rehabilitation until they can be responsibly rehomed.

Dr Cyril Sullivan, CEO of the ISPCA, said everyone at the charity is “incredibly excited” about the inaugural golf event.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for us to connect with the community and raise vital funds for our cause. Every euro raised will make a significant difference in the lives of the animals we care for. We hope that this event will become an annual tradition, growing in size and impact each year,” said Dr Sullivan.

“The ISPCA invites everyone to join in this meaningful event, whether as a golfer, sponsor, or supporter. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of Ireland’s most vulnerable animals”.
