A WHIRLWIND of fun, fashion and farming saw the annual AMCS Limerick Show go down a treat, despite some rainy weather.
What a ball we had at Limerick Racecourse on Sunday, August 25, where over 7,000 people gathered to enjoy the atmosphere of the day.
Between stalls, music, food and drink and arts and crafts, as well as plenty of farm animals and horticulture events, this year’s Limerick Show went down a treat.
The rain that fell did nothing to dampen the fun and we, at the Holman Lee Agency, hosted a fashion show in the early afternoon. We were delighted with the turn out.

The show saw a selection of Limerick city and county designers and shops showcase their autumn-winter collections, including designers Ber McNamara and Caroline Mitchell, the G-Boutique in Newcastle West, Earls and Pearls and Adare Woollens in Adare, Raspberry Red in Bruff and Sinead’s Boutique, Annacotty.
Because it was the Limerick Show, we spread our wings to showcase the fabulous fashion available across Limerick and outside the city.
We have been hosting a fashion event at the AMCS Limerick Show for years now and it remains ever-popular with attendees, which I was overjoyed to see.
Our Best Dressed Lady award went to the gorgeous Maria Stack, a talented milliner from Ardfert in Co Kerry. Maria made her own hat which she wore on the day – a red bycocked-style hat with a feather detail.
Maria looked wonderful and was dressed appropriately for both the weather and the event itself, with a light cream blouse and trousers and navy-shoulder poncho.
Navy, red and cream colours suit so well together for the autumn.
I want to thank all who made the effort to attend on Sunday, and I can’t wait until we host our next fashion show!
