The most stylish ladies in Limerick were out in force on Thursday 14th of November at the Network Ireland Limerick fashion event showcasing the style of local boutiques and designers

Network Ireland Limerick President Fiona Doyle, and broadcaster and stylist Cathy O’Connor held a stunning event with fashion lovers, style enthusiasts, and local supporters in Limerick showing some of the most glamourous looks for Winter 2024.

Fiona Doyle, known for her connection to the Limerick fashion scene, curated the latest in local design, highlighting the artistry and flair of Limerick’s fashion-forward community. The event will present collections from an array of local businesses, bringing together the best of what Limerick has to offer. Participating local brands included Network Ireland Limerick members- Marlene & Co, Ber McNamara, Tania Smetanko, Vacious & Original Ireland, all contributing to a showcase of vibrant, sophisticated, and innovative designs that will inspire this season’s holiday looks.

Shops from the Crescent Shopping Centre, Newbridge Silver and O’Donnells Boutique will also showcase season trends from their collections. The event started with a prosecco reception with canapes all sponsored by Marco Polo Limerick. The glittering restaurant was a dazzling backdrop for the fashion catwalk event. Behind the scenes, Louise Tsang and Shirley Bennett were helping to style the looks.

“Our Network members have some of the most colourful, talented, and stylistic brands and designs among the businesses they run and it is a great pleasure to bring them all together,” said Doyle. “It was wonderful to welcome over 70 ladies to the event and to see all of their excitement in seeing what the fashion scene is in Limerick at the moment. The glam factor was also way up with every guest coming along in style.

It was a night to celebrate the remarkable creativity of our Network Ireland Limerick designers and boutiques. The event provided an opportunity for our designers and boutiques to showcase their collections to fellow members and guests. Special thanks to Glasshouse Opticians, Make Up and Hair by Catherine Hickey.

Attendees enjoyed expert style tips from Cathy and Fiona and trend insights for the upcoming season

Eimear Dwan, marketing manager of The Crescent Shopping Centre had the unenviable task of choosing two best dressed ladies out of the crowd. Karen Ronan, Network Ireland Limerick Ex officio President and Dr Julie O’ Brien, Cardiologist were chosen for their looks on the night, Karen wearing a maroon velvet trouser suit and Julie, a blue silk print trouser suit by Marion Murphy Cooney. “It was a very difficult job as everyone had dressed up for the evening. Limerick women are famous for their unique style and beauty,” Ms Dwan said.

Also among the attendees were Network Members Dr Aine O Dea, Dr Mary Ryan, Orla Hickey Designer, Valerie Murphy, Louise Lawlor, Katie O Sullivan, Deputy President of Network Limerick Ireland Eve Stafford and many more.
