Ligue 1 has officially announced a new broadcasting platform for the UK and Ireland which will show games from tonight when Paris Saint-Germain host Montpellier HSC.
After a weekend where both countries were unable to watch any French football, the league has established a new broadcasting arrangement for the two territories. The games for this weekend will all be shown for free on Ligue 1 Pass before a subscription will be needed which will be set at £9.99 per month.
There had been a realisation not long before the opening weekend that TNT Sports who had owned the broadcasting rights for the league in the UK and Ireland had not picked up the new season. And that there was no agreement in place for the 2024/25 campaign.
However, with this agreement now sorted there is now a new platform entirely dedicated to providing both countries with French football.
