Faith Amond from Milford, Co Carlow says she’s always loved style and is proud to have been recognised for her flair in almost every decade of her life
“I’ve always loved style. From the age of 14, I was knitting, making clothes and doing crochet. I remember when I started working, I would get a piece of fabric on a Saturday and make a dress that I could wear to a dance on the Sunday night.
In those days you had to make. It was the only way you could have a new dress. I remember my grandmother would cut the buttons off old cardigans and shirts and keep them in a box. Back then, you’d never throw buttons away.
