The Mayor of the City and County of Limerick, John Moran is delighted to see the Jobs Fairs grow in popularity each year, and commented:

“It is wonderful to see the Jobs Fair returning to St Mary’s Park. Every single person who has built a career knows that it started with an employer, a school or a client taking a chance on them. This event gives residents the potential opportunity to find that person or organisation.

“Following the success of previous fairs in other Limerick communities, this event continues to offer even more meaningful connections and career advancements. Every year we hear the success stories, where individuals find employment or pursue further training to enhance their career prospects. We are all looking forward also to the Jobs Fair in Southill in November, which will continue our commitment to supporting yet another community.”

Director of Regeneration, Sports and Recreation at Limerick City and County Council, Joe Delaney said:

“Once again, there will be a wide range of employers returning to this event in St Mary’s Park, on Thursday 10th October. The Jobs Fairs have proven to be a great meeting place for those pursuing both employment and training options. The two jobs fairs earlier in 2024 proved to be very popular and we look forward to hearing of individuals who progress towards employment, training or education as a result of these events.”

The first Jobs Fair was introduced in 2022 and they are now in year three of a very impactful and welcome event in all four Regeneration areas.

Residents of the community can directly engage with companies or gain valuable information around further education and training opportunities.
