Seamus Power moved inside the cut line when he made an eagle and five birdies in a seven-under 64 in the Black Desert Championship in Utah.
The West Waterford man birdied the fifth, eighth and ninth to turn in 33 before making an eagle two from 15 feet at the 319-yard 14th.
He added another birdie at the 185-yard 15th, where he left his tee shot less than a foot from the hole, to move to the projected five-under cut mark before signing off with a chip and putt birdie four at the 18th.
At six-under, Power was tied for 37th, eight shots behind Stephan Jaeger, who shot an eight-under 63, to lead by a shot from Adam Svensson and Ben Kohles on 14-under.
Play was suspended due to darkness at 7:08 p.m. with 19 players left to complete the round. Play is scheduled to resume at 8:15 a.m. Saturday.
