The League of Ireland is set for a new look from next season after announcing an ‘innovative’ agreement with Premier Sports.
The premium sport broadcaster has been widening their coverage in recent months having taken on Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League broadcasting rights in Ireland.
Premier Sports have also stepped forward with live rugby having snapped up the Champions Cup coverage from TNT Sports.
The Ireland-based broadcaster has announced a new partnership for a major revamp of the LOITV subscription service.
LOITV evolved from the WatchLOI service that had been launched during the pandemic and it provides live coverage of all League of Ireland games – outside of matches chosen for TV – across the two men’s tiers and the Women’s Premier Division.
The new partnership will see LOITV made available Android TV, LG TV, Fire TV, Sony, Hisense as well as apps for mobile and tablet on both Apple and Android. It will also be available on desktop, Chromecast, and AirPlay.
Ahead of the 2025 season next year, a new subscription model will be unveiled that will include new annual, monthly, and 24-hour options.
Every fixture across the League of Ireland’s three divisions will be streamed lived with a minimum two camera set ups for the Men’s Premier Division while the Women’s Premier Division and Men’s First Division will feature a minimum one camera setup.
The new platform will also host fixtures from the Sports Direct Men’s and Women’s FAI Cups, Men’s and Women’s President’s Cups, Women’s All-Island Cup as well as a range of additional games featuring League of Ireland clubs and match highlights.
