Jon Hage, a prominent Republican supporter and millionaire businessman in Florida who has links to the state’s former governor, Jeb Bush, and a slew of other high-profile politicians, has just established a company in Ireland.
A former Green Beret in the US military, Mr Hage is the founder and chief executive of Florida-based Charter Schools USA. It’s a major and sometimes controversial for-profit private firm that secures taxpayers’ money to operate alternative public schools.
