PwC Ireland has announced charity partnerships with Focus Ireland and Simon Community Ireland as part of a new three-year social impact strategy.

The initiative is intended to reaffirm PwC’s commitment to promoting socially inclusive, equitable, and connected communities, both within the organisation and beyond.

PwC will contribute funding to Focus Ireland’s Preparation for Education, Training & Employment programme, which helps the most marginalised and hardest to reach in society to access education and employment supports.

For Simon Community NI, PwC funding will go towards shelter and accommodation projects.

Both charities will also benefit from employee fundraising which the firm will match throughout the partnerships so that every euro raised or donated by PwC employees is doubled.

Education and youth are the two core themes of PwC’s social impact strategy, and the company has created tailored student support initiatives for those in post primary schools in the North East Inner City and in Access programmes at third level.

The aim is to strengthen connections, build relationships and offer developmental opportunities to students throughout their education that will positively impact their futures.

Earlier this year, PwC Ireland, in collaboration with Change X, launched the PwC Resilient Communities Fund.

Due to the overwhelming response and the significant impact it has had on local communities, PwC Ireland has committed an additional €100,000 to support communities and social innovation projects in 2025.

“We are delighted to announce our new partnership with Focus Ireland and Simon Community Northern Ireland,” said Enda McDonagh, managing partner at PwC Ireland.

“These collaborations align with our commitment to making a positive impact in our community, helping to empower people with the tools and opportunities needed to secure employment.

“Together, we can create a supportive environment where everyone has the chance to thrive and contribute positively to society.”

Pat Dennigan, CEO, Focus Ireland, said: “PwC have been long-time supporters of Focus Ireland, and we want to express our gratitude for their generosity to date and our excitement to officially partner with PwC over the next three years.

“As part of this partnership, PwC will support PETE, our Preparation for Education, Training, and Employment service. PETE provides tailored educational and vocational training programs to help people build a pathway to sustainable employment.

“Our organisations share the same commitment to positively impacting Irish society, and we will work together to create a future where everyone has a safe and stable place to call home.“

PwC has announced partnerships with Focus Ireland and Simon Community Northern Ireland.

Jim Dennison, CEO of Simon Community Northern Ireland, said: “We are excited to partner with PwC Ireland to make a real difference in tackling homelessness in Northern Ireland, where over 58,000 people are legally classified as homeless.

“With PwC’s support, we can reach more people with the resources and support they need to find a path out of homelessness.”
