Revolut launches RevPoints loyalty programme in Ireland – Business Plus

Must read

Revolut has announced the launch of its new debit card loyalty programme, RevPoints, across several EEA markets.

This new initiative allows customers earn rewards such as airline miles and discounts on travel, accommodation, and experiences on their everyday spending.

The digital bank said that customers can transfer their ‘RevPoints’ to more than 30 airline loyalty programmes, including KLM and Air France’s Flying Blue.

Additionally, RevPoints can be redeemed for discounts on premium holiday accommodation and other experiences through the Lifestyle tab within the Revolut app.

Depending on their plan, Revolut users can earn up to one point per euro spent, and accelerate their earnings by converting spare change into points, completing in-app challenges or on in-app bookings for stays and experiences.

In addition to earning on stays and experiences bookings, Standard plan users can turn on the ‘Spare Change’ feature in order to earn on card spend. On top of the points they earn on card spend, Spare Change round-ups will be converted into additional points, at a rate of up to 50 points for every euro spared.

New users can jump-start their journey with 3,000 points (equivalent to 3,000 air miles or up to €60 in travel discounts) after making 150 eligible transactions.

Customers can also pocket up to 10,000 bonus points by upgrading their plan and meeting spending thresholds within the first 90 days.

For those on Revolut’s Ultra plan, the rewards are much higher as customers who spend €2,500 a month could earn up to 30,000 RevPoints annually, enough for a free round trip from Europe to New York or a €600 hotel discount.

Since the trial launch in September 2023, over 1bn RevPoints have been earned and nearly 120m points redeemed by Revolut users across seven European markets.

Revolut have interested a loyalty points programme.

“RevPoints is set to transform everyday spending into things and experiences people love, by converting routine purchases into rewards,” said Christopher Guttridge, general manager of lifestyle products at Revolut.

Revolut launched a high-interest savings account last month, and recently placed ninth as on the 2024 RepTrak ranking of the country’s most trusted organisation.
