Dublin earned an automatic quarter-final place after finishing top of their qualifying group, with Cormac Costello’s last-ditch equalising point against Mayo in Dr Hyde Park. The draw meant Dessie Farrell’s side finished on top of Group 2 on scoring difference.
Experienced trio James McCarthy, Jack McCaffrey and Paul Mannion are all listed on the bench.
Damien Comer and Shane Walsh are both named to start for Galway who are seeking to cause an upset against the All-Ireland champions.
Comer made a welcome return from injury off the bench against Monaghan last weekend, while Walsh limped off during the game.
Armagh and Roscommon each show one change to their starting teams for tomorrow’s other quarter-final. The teams meet at 4.0, ahead of the Dublin v Galway clash.
Kieran McGeeney recalls Paddy Burns to his full-back line in place of Ciaran Higgins after topping their qualifying group with a final-round draw against Galway. Connaire Mackin returns to the match-day squad after serving a one-match suspension.
McGeeney has included Stefan Campbell, Aidan Nugent, Oisin O’Neill and Jason Duffy on the bench as Armagh look to reach the last four for the first time in 19 years.
Roscommon will be seeking to bridge a 33-year gap to the county’s last semi-final appearance after eliminating Tyrone last Saturday in Omagh. Roscommon manager Davy Burke has called up Ronan Daly at centre back, with Dylan Ruane dropping to the bench.
The Rossies haven’t won a senior championship match in Croke Park since 1980, when they defeated Armagh in the All-Ireland semi-finals before losing the final to Kerry.
Meanwhile, Derry make one change for Sunday’s quarter-final date with Kerry (3.15), who defeated them in a captivating semi-final last year. Eunan Mulholland replaces the experienced Emmet Bradley from the side that defeated Mayo on penalties in Castlebar last weekend.
Bradley scored a vital second-half goal for Derry when they struggled past Westmeath in their final group match at Newry.
Kerry manager Jack O’Connor has named an unchanged team from that which beat Louth in the final group game a fortnight ago.
The Munster champions won their final group game against the Leinster finalists by 14 points.
Donegal make one change to their starting lineup for Sunday’s first game (1.15) against Louth, with Dáire Ó Baoill coming into the half-forward line, replacing Odhran Doherty. There is also a return for Jason McGee after injury, with the midfielder listed among the substitutes.
McGee suffered a hamstring injury against Cork at Páirc Uí Rinn but has made a welcome recovery.
Donegal are strong favourites to reach a first All-Ireland semi final in ten years as they face the Leinster finalists, who name the same team that overcame Cork with an injury-time free from Sam Mulroy.
