Scoil Bhríde, Kilcullen was presented with an Activity Award at this year’s Our World Irish Aid Awards. The presentation took place at the Hibernia Conference Centre, Dublin Castle where pupils and teachers from 10 schools across the country gathered to celebrate their collective success at a ceremony hosted by Clara Murray.
The project submitted by Scoil Bhríde comprised a summary of all of the activities the school’s pupils had undertaken to explore this year’s Awards theme Food For Life.
These activities included a growing project in the school’s garden, a food quiz and holding a Green Day|Action Day which saw the school enjoy messy play and a two-hour no power where all the lights, whiteboards, phones and laptops were switched off. Pictured with the pupils from Scoil Bhríde and their teacher is Minister of State for International Development and Diaspora, Sean Fleming T.D.
