The Republic of Ireland will round off their Nations League campaign tonight as the team heads to face England at Wembley where there is a 5pm start.
Heimir Hallgrimsson brings his side to Wembley to conclude their Nations League group stage on Sunday, knowing they are guaranteed to finish third in League B Group 2 and therefore set for a two-legged play-off against a second-placed team from League C in March.
“We really, really want to qualify for the World Cup finals,” Hallgrimsson said.
“They (England) are hiring a new manager and want to win the World Cup, that is the difference in where we are at the moment.”

Also at 5pm, fellow Group B2 sides Finland and Greece meet in Helsinki before fixtures between Israel and Belgium and Italy and France get underway at 7:45pm.
Golf
Rory McIlroy secured a sixth Race to Dubai title by winning the end of season DP World Tour Championship.
On 15-under-par, the Co Down golfer finished two shots clear of Rasmus Hojgaard, with Shane Lowry among those tied for third on 11-under-par.
Tom McKibbin ended the week on eight-under.
McIlroy’s success means he is now level with golfing legend Seve Ballesteros with six Order of Merit titles – something he feels is a major achievement.
GAA
The first of the Munster club hurling championship semi-finals got underway on Sunday at 1:15pm.
The full-time result was 1-16 (19) to Tipperary’s Loughmore Castleiney with Waterford’s Ballygunner coming out on top with 1-26 (29)
At 3:15pm, Sarsfields of Cork face Clare’s Feakle in the other semi-final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
The four quarter-finals in the Leinster club hurling championship also take place this afternoon.
Castletown Geoghan of Westmeath face Thomastown of Kilkenny while Naas of Kildare take on St Martin’s from Wexford in Newbridge.
Netwatch Cullen Park hosts the clash between St Mullins of Carlow and Offaly’s Kilcormac Killoughey, and at Parnell Park, Dublin’s Na Fianna go up against Clough Ballacolla of Laois at 3pm.
In football, the re-arranged quarter-final between St Loman’s of Westmeath and Castletown of Wexford takes place at 3:30pm at Lakepoint Park in Mullingar.
The final pairing in the Connacht club football championship will be confirmed this afternoon.
The two semi-finals are currently underway.
