Tayto has issued a recall for some packets of crisps after fragments of golf ball were found in some of their products.
“Fragments of a golf ball were found to be present in a small number of packs from the below listed products. We believe this material may have inadvertently been harvested with our potatoes.
“As a precautionary measure we are recalling all of the products with the best before dates detailed below,” a spokesperson for the company said.
“This precautionary recall has been initiated in the best interests of our consumers and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.
“We are working closely with the Food Safety Authority of Ireland and with our customers to ensure the potentially affected product is no longer available for purchase,” the spokesperson said.
