Pádraig Harrington and his son Paddy will be taking on the likes of Tiger Woods and his son Charlie in the 20-team PNC Championship in Florida next week.
Team Harrington and Team Woods were the last two teams confirmed for the event which will be held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club Orlando
Paddy Harrington will partner with dad Padraig for a sixth time after sitting on the bench last year when younger brother Ciaran made his debut.
“My two lads would both like to partner me, so it’s great that they are sharing it,” Harrington said.
“I’m so pleased that they are both loving playing golf and that our family is able to experience this unique tournament together.”
Returning to the PNC Championship for a fifth time, Team Woods will be looking to improve on their best finish of solo second in 2021 and tied fifth place last year.
“I’m very excited to head back to the PNC Championship next week with Charlie,” Woods said. “Playing together is something we look forward to and it’s always more special when you’re surrounded by friends and family.”
This star-studded field has won 69 majors and 40 senior major titles and more than 1000 international titles.
There are five past champions in the field and two teams making their debut this year – Team Couples and Team Immelman.
The youngest partner is 13-year-old Will McGee, while 89-year old Gary Player is the elder statesman in the field,
Four years junior to Player is Lee Trevino, 85, the only player to have played in all 26 editions of the PNC Championship.
Current Rolex Women’s World number one Nelly Korda is the highest ranked with more than half the field having reached the pinnacle of World No. 1 during their careers.
