Adrian began by speaking about the two implications for Ireland following the Trump victory and that is tax rates and tariffs. The tech editor made the point that Trump has promised to reduce corporate tax in the US. This will make it attractive for those companies to repatriate and declare their earnings in the US. This is turn would have a negative impact on Ireland’s corporate tax yield.
