The Ballinakill outdoor pool has recently been revamped and it’s open all summer, every day from June to September.
The heated pool operates on weekdays between 5:30pm to 8:30pm and on weekends from 2:30pm to 5:30pm and then again at 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
It is a 35-metre facility that includes a safe 10-metre area for toddlers, ensuring fun for all ages.
Admission fees are also affordable, with children entering for €3 and adults for €5, and there are also memberships available for €100 that covers the entire summer season.
The swimming pool, which also offers a children’s pool, is run by the local volunteer group the Ballinakill Community Development Association.
There is also a stunning pool side area which offers ample amounts of space for sunbathing and relaxing while watching the kids play in the water.
Right next to the pool there is a fantastic playground for children.
This fun spot features slides, swings, climbing frames and other equipment that caters to a wide range of ages and ensuring that all children can play.
It was also designed with safety in mind, and it includes surfaces and cushion falls with shaded areas to protect children from the sun.
The surrounding wood area is picturesque, perfect for a leisurely stroll or family picnic.
The well-maintained gardens offer a beautiful setting for a picnic, and there is also benches and tables so families can sit and enjoy their meals.
