World Cup hero Gerry Armstrong is the special guest on this week’s edition of BelTel Football.
Gerry is best known for exploits at the 1982 World Cup when he scored that famous goal against Spain in Valencia. But he’s no stranger to the Irish League, turning out for both Bangor and Glenavon either side of his time in the Football League.
Gerry joins host Keith Bailie and Belfast Telegraph columnist to look ahead to Northern Ireland’s Nations League games against Belarus and Bulgaria.
The panel also reflect on Stephen Baxter’s appointment as Carrick Rangers manager, Glentoran’s stunning win over Linfield, Larne’s European adventure, Cliftonville Ladies’ title success and this week’s Sports Direct Premiership fixtures
