The airline reported a profit after tax of €2.18bn in the six months to the end of September, up 59pc from the same period last year.

This year’s event will look to address the main challenges facing the sector in Ireland today.

Banking and Payments Federation Ireland will host a briefing on the digital euro on Thursday at their offices in Dublin.

The event will look to provide an insight into the developments around the digital euro and the impact it will have on banks, fintech companies and consumers across the country.

The Central Statistics Office (CSO) will publish the wholesale price index on Wednesday. This report will share an update on wholesale electricity prices, which are the prices utility firms pay electricity generators for power.

These prices were up 2.4pc in the month to March this year but plummeted 40.3pc lower than March last year, last month’s report revealed.

The CSO’s labour force survey for the first three months of 2024 will be released on Thursday.

The most recent report, which focused on the final quarter of 2023, showed that the employment rate stood at 74pc in the period.

Unemployment in the three-month period stood at 4.2pc, up slightly from 4.1pc reported a year earlier.
