AT around 10.15am on Friday morning a man in his early 40s was killed when his motorbike was in collision with a truck on the M50 northbound between Junction 7 N4 Liffey Valley and Junction 6 N3 Castleknock.

It is understood footage from road cameras or dashboard cameras is being examined as part of the inquiry into what the sequence of events leading up to the collision was.
When the vital assessment of the scene was completed the motorway was reopened on Friday afternoon.
