Volleyball Ireland Sign Up Radio Partnership – Sport for Business

Must read

Dublin radio station Sunshine 106.8 has been announced as the official radio partner of the U20 Women’s European Volleyball Championship, which will be held at the Sport Ireland Campus from August 5th to 13th.

The station’s partnership with Volleyball Ireland will include promotional adverts and a special sports show feature with Ken Doherty and Robbie Corrigan.

“The core aim of hosting this major women’s sports event is to inspire the next generation of youngsters into our game,” said Volleyball Ireland CEO Gary Stewart.

“Sunshine 106.8’s core listenership will help us get as many people to the matches as possible. Once you’re in the door, you’ll be amazed by the athleticism and skill of the best young athletes in the world.”

Latest JNLR statistics show that Sunshine 106.8 is Dublin’s most popular station for adults and the clear winner amongst the over-35 age group—many of which have children at the key target age Volleyball Ireland is looking to attract.

Around 65% of listeners are women, which is a similar ratio to Volleyball Ireland’s participation membership.

“This event is a great fit for our core target market, especially the great activations around Women in Sport which the team at Volleyball Ireland are delivering,” added Sunshine 106.8 Deputy CEO Jonathan Barker.

“We’re delighted to help showcase what will be one of the best Women’s sports events in Dublin this year.”

Matches begin on August 5th with the powerhouses of European Volleyball in Dublin. Tickets are available on volleyballireland.com
