Foodies will be delighted.
After much anticipation, the New Orleans-born fried chicken brand, Popeyes, has confirmed that it will open the doors of its first restaurant on the island of Ireland on Friday 20 September at 11:00am.
Belfast’s Lesley Forestside Shopping Centre has been selected as the first location, but the brand has today revealed that it is exploring Ireland and more openings will likely follow soon.
The brand arrived to the UK in November 2021, and has since opened more than 50 locations there.
Chicken fans will be able to experience Popeyes world-famous ‘shatter crunch’ for themselves in Belfast from September.
The mouth-watering menu features the iconic Chicken Sandwich range, Hot Wings, Tenders, original Southern biscuits and gravy, and Cajun rice.
Customers can expect the best in quality as all Popeyes’ chicken is cooked fresh in-store.
It’s marinaded for 12 hours in a signature blend of Louisiana herbs & spices and then hand-breaded and hand-battered to create that famous Popeyes Shatter-Crunch. Popeyes breakfast menu will be available from 8:00am to 11:00am.
Launched earlier this year, items include classics with a New Orleans twist such as the Big Cajun Breakfast Roll and Cajun Hash Browns.
Meat-free and flexitarians will also be catered for with various vegan options available, including the 100% plant-based vegan sandwich, and as all chicken is Halal, everyone is welcome to enjoy.
