To make Christmas shopping a little bit easier, the Irish Independent has compiled a list of opening hours for the key shopping hubs and major shopping centres in all 26 counties.
Carlow
Fairgreen Shopping Centre
Customers would need to check the festive opening hours with individual stores located at Fairgreen Shopping Centre as times may vary.
Regular opening hours of the shopping centre are 9am-6pm Monday-Tuesday, 9am-9:30pm on Wednesday, 9am-9pm Thursday-Friday, 9am-8pm on Saturday, and 12pm-7pm on Sunday.
There more than 40 stores available in Carlow’s biggest shopping hub.

Cavan
Cavan town
Christmas shoppers will have to check with individual stores on Main Street and Bridge Street in Cavan town for their specific opening hours this festive season as times may vary.
There are a variety of small boutiques, shoe shops and gift shops in the town centre, while the farmer’s market takes place on Fridays and Saturdays.
Clare
Shannon Town Centre
The regular opening hours for Clare’s biggest shopping venue are 9am-6pm, therefore shoppers are advised to check the Christmas opening hours with individual shops.
While visiting Shannon Town Centre, customers can also visit Santa’s Grotto every Saturday and Sunday from 1pm until 4pm.
Every Thursday, they have a chance of doing Christmas shopping at the Farmer’s Market.
Cork
Mahon Point Shopping Centre
Shoppers can take advantage of extended opening hours for Mahon Point Shopping Centre this festive season, with hours extending from 9am to 10pm in the week before the big day.
The centre opens from 8am to 5pm on Christmas Eve.
Normal hours resume January 2, with shoppers able to enjoy longer hours from December 3.

Wilton Shopping Centre
Customers can usually shop at Wilton Shopping Centre in Cork from 9am to 6pm on Monday-Wednesday and Saturday; 9am-9pm on Thursday-Friday; 12pm-6pm on Sunday and Bank Holidays.
Tesco located in the shopping centre is open from 8am to 10pm.

Merchants Quay Shopping Centre
Another primary shopping location in Cork is open for Christmas shopping from 8am-6pm Monday-Wednesday, 8am-7pm Thursday-Saturday and 12pm-6pm on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Marks & Spencer is open to all customers from 9am-6pm Monday-Wednesday, 8:30am-7pm Thursday-Saturday, and 12pm-6pm on Sunday.

Blackpool Shopping Centre
The regular opening hours for Cork’s shopping hub are 9am-7pm every day, except for Thursdays and Fridays when Christmas shoppers can enjoy longer shopping as it closes at 9pm.
On Sundays, the Blackpool Shopping Centre opens later at 10am.
Dunnes Stores opens at 8:30pm to 7pm Monday-Wednesday and Saturday, 8:30am-9pm Thursday-Friday, and 9am-7pm on Sunday.

Letterkenny Shopping Centre
The biggest shopping centre in Donegal, Letterkenny Shopping Centre is open for Christmas shoppers from 9am until 6 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and the weekends.
The centre is open until late at 9pm on Thursdays and Fridays.
Meanwhile, Tesco will open earlier at 8am, and close at 10pm every day.

Liffey Valley
December starts at Liffey Valley with extended festive opening hours from December 4.
The week leading up to Christmas Day sees the centre open from 9am until 10pm from Monday to Friday, 8am until 10pm from Saturday 23 December and from 8am until 6pm on Christmas Eve.
It closes on Christmas Day to reopen from 11am until 7pm on St Stephen’s Day.

Dundrum
Dundrum Town Centre is open late for Christmas shoppers from December 2, opening from 9am until 10pm in the week leading up to Christmas.
Customers can also visit from 8am until 6pm on Christmas Eve before returning from 9am to 7pm on St Stephen’s Day.
The centre notes that individual store times may vary, including Brown Thomas which opens from 8am from December 21 until 23.
Penney’s will also open at 8am on December 23 and 24.
Blanchardstown Shopping Centre
Blanchardstown Shopping Centre will remain open for longer since December 20 allowing customers to do Christmas shopping until 10pm every day.
This will continue until Christmas Eve when the shopping centre will close at 6pm, followed by closing on Christmas Day and reopening on St Stephen’s Day until 6pm.
The centre advises the festive opening hours might vary between stores, such as Dunnes Stores, Marks & Spencer, and Smyths.
On New Year’s Eve, Blanchardstown will close at 6pm.

Jervis Shopping Centre
Jervis Shopping Centre will extend its opening hours for Christmas shoppers from 9am to 8pm starting Friday, December 8.
In the run-up to Christmas, the shopping centre will open even longer until 9pm Monday-Friday and 8pm on the weekends from December 14.
Customers will be able to shop at Jervis from 8am until 6pm on Christmas Eve.
While Jervis will remain closed on Christmas Day, the shopping centre will reopen on December 26 from 9am until 6.30pm.

Galway
Galway Shopping Centre
Shoppers can pop into Galway Shopping Centre from 9am until 6pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays and from 9am until 9pm on Thursdays and Fridays.
Sunday opening hours are from 12 noon until 6pm.
However, Penneys and Tesco have different hours to the rest of the centre – with Tesco opening from 7am until 11pm each day – so shoppers should be prepared to check in advance.

Killarney Outlet Centre

MacDonagh Junction Shopping Centre
Customers would need to check the opening hours with individual stores as they may slightly vary.
Regular opening hours of the shopping centre are 9am to 6pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays; 9am to 9pm on Thursdays and Fridays; 12pm to 6pm on Sundays.
Meanwhile, Dunnes Stores will be open from 9am to 7pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, 9am to 9pm on Thursdays and Fridays, and 10am to 7pm on Sundays.
Kilkenny’s shopping centre offers free Festival Musical Performances in the run-up to Christmas.
Christmas shoppers can also visit Santa and his elves every weekend leading up to Christmas. The visit has to be booked online in advance.

Portlaoise’s shopping hub has some Christmas family-fun to offer as it invites for Festive Family Fundays on December 11, 18, and 23.

The shopping centre is extending its opening hours in the run-up to Christmas on December 18, when customers will be able to shop until 8pm on Monday and Tuesday, 9pm from Wednesday until Saturday.
On Christmas Eve, Monaghan Shopping Centre will close at 6pm, and then will remain closed on Christmas Day and St Stephen’s Day.
It will come back to its regular opening hours from December 27.

The Bridge Shopping Centre
The Bridge Shopping Centre in Tullamore is usually open 7 days a week.
Regular opening hours are 9am to 6pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays; 9am-9pm on Thursdays and Fridays; 11am-6pm on Sundays.
Times may vary between stores, therefore Christmas shoppers are advised to check times with individual shops.
Santa is visiting the Bridge Shopping Centre this Sunday, December 10. Shoppers can meet him from 1:30pm until 4:30pm.

Harrison Centre

While shopping at Harrison Centre, customers might stop by Christmas markets with craft, food and festive stalls from December 8-10, 15-17, and 22-24.

Sligo
Johnston Court Shopping Centre
Sligo’s biggest shopping hub will extend their opening hours during the festive period from 9am to 8pm starting Monday, December 18, to Friday, December 22.
On Saturday, December 23, customers can shop from 9am until 7pm, and on Christmas Eve from 9am until 5pm.
The shopping centre will be closed on Christmas Day and St Stephen’s Day.

Tipperary
Showgrounds Shopping Centre
Last-minute shoppers can visit the Showgrounds in Clonmel until 6pm on Christmas Eve, with extended opening hours available in the lead up to the big day.
The centre opens from 8am until 9pm during Christmas Week, with extended hours also keeping the doors open later in the lead up to the Big Day.
The Showgrounds reopens following Christmas Day and St Stephen’s Day at 9am on December 27.

Waterford
City Square Shopping Centre
In the run-up to Christmas, the City Square Shopping Centre is open from 9am until 6pm throughout the week with the exception of a 9pm late-night shopping option on Thursdays and Friday.
On Sunday, it is open from 12pm until 6pm while shoppers can also enjoy a visit to Santa’s grotto.

Westmeath
Athlone Town Centre
Westmeath’s biggest shopping venue is extending its opening hours for the Christmas period.
Since December 11, Christmas shoppers will be able to visit Town Centre from 9am to 7pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday, and from 9am to 8pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Since December 18, the centre will open every day at 9am and close at 9pm.
On Christmas Eve, customers will be able to shop until 5pm.

Wexford
Gorey Shopping Centre
Wexford’s shopping primary location is advising its customers to check exact trading hours with individual stores as times may vary.
Gorey Shopping Centre and Dunnes Stores are extending their opening hours from December 18 in the run-up to Christmas as they will be open to shoppers from 8am until 10pm.
Meanwhile, since December 21, they both will open one hour earlier at 7am.
They will close on Christmas Day and St Stephen’s Day, and will go back to normal opening hours from December 27.

Wicklow
Bridgewater Shopping Centre
Wicklow’s shopping hub in Arklow will extend its opening hours until 8pm starting December 14, except from the following weekend (December 16-17) when it will close at 7pm.
The centre will open even longer until 9pm starting December 18.
Customers can do some last-minute shopping until 6pm on Christmas Eve.
The shopping venue will be closed on Christmas Day and St Stephen’s Day.
It will come back to its regular opening hours after St Stephen’s Day.
Dunnes Stores within the centre will usually close one hour later than the shopping centre.
